19:th of Febuary  |  We are proud to announce the release of our third album “A Bliss to Suffer” through Listenable Records on the 27th of April. Entirely produced by us band members ourselves at Art Decay Studio during a series of sessions in 2007 and 2008, this onslaught displays the relentless speed and severe brutality of previous efforts blended together with strangely atmospheric and epic elements, taking our lethal concoctions to new heights. We wouldn’t brag without a good reason – this thing will kill you.

In other news, vocalist Martinsson is back as a permanent member after commitments elsewhere, and celebrates the return with a never-ending rowof ghastly shrieks all through the album.

Last but not least, there is now an official The Legion MySpace site up and running at www.myspace.com/legionsweden. This is the only MySpace channel with 100% valid and verified information straight from the band. Excerpts from “A Bliss to Suffer” will be available for streaming listening as soon as possible.



26:th of February -08

Again, all too much time has passed since we put up any news here. Anyway, here’s a little update on what’s been going on lately. As you might know we’ve had our share of difficulties managing the vocal position. And once again we’re without a permanent singer. A while ago we and Kjetil decided to go separate ways. He’s been busy with his other bands/projects and simply didn’t find the time and devotion required to rehearse with us as much as we wanted. We think it’s really sad since we like him both as a person, as well as for his amazing skills vocally. We really whish him all the best for the future and thank him for his time whit us and his support in our live performances.

Regarding the ongoing recording, everything’s developing the way we intended. The work pace hasn’t been optimal because of the inability to record everything at one occasion (as you normally do). Since none of us are fulltime musicians we’ve only been able to record a little bit now and then in our spare time. Nevertheless, we have never put this many hours into recording an album before, so it’ll sure surpass any of our previous work. As of now, there’s only the vocal part left, which we’ll handle ourselves this time. And then we’re headed for mixing and mastering of course…

The new material a bit more epic and “majestic”, but at the same time very sick and twisted. The intensity is still there for sure but, we’ve focused more on getting the right feel, instead of getting entangled in technical twists. Prepare yourself for a subversive and sinister attack!


4:th of September -07

Due to various delays, quite some time has passed since we updated you all on what has been going on in the Legion camp. Since the last update we’ve put in a lot of effort in making this upcoming album as good as possible by rehearsing a lot, and therefore we haven’t taken the time to involve ourselves with our homepage.

That is about to change...

We are currently in the studio recording the 3rd opus of ours and I can tell you that it is going to be different on so many levels compared to our earlier releases! We’ve taken the songs to other dimensions, but kept the atmosphere of the original Legion sound that we’ve always had, giving you a new kind of objective to gaze upon on. So far we have recorded all the drums and we are now on to the guitars. We will try to give you a sample of what’s going on in a near future!

8:th of January -07

The progress of our third album is coming along fine and most of the material is ready. We still have a lot of vocal arrangements to deal with but we hope to get started with the recording this spring. We’ve also been busy upgrading our own studio, Art Decay, since the last album. The plan is to record everything there this time and hopefully this will result in a more dynamic and experimental release. The cover art will once again be handled by Kris Verwimp.

18:th of June -06

Kristoffer Andersson is now a permanent member of the horde. We’re very pleased to have him in the band and we’re looking forward to see his contribution in your music. At the moment we’re working on material for our third opus. We’re constantly developing our music and exploring new paths. A handful of songs are completed and so far it looks like this new album will differ itself a bit from our previous works.

We apologize to you who’s sent us interviews and not got any answers in return. We’ve been kind of occupied lately and some band members have been busy with other commitments.

European tour confirmed!

A tour throughout Europe has now been confirmed. The tour will begin right after the Inferno festival and last until the end of April. Be sure to check out the tour section (click the link above) for dates and more details. There is also a new t-shirt design available. You’ll find it in the store section.
